Well the governor controls the rpm and at a certain rpm cuts back the throttle, if you tighten the nut you will get more rpm before it cuts back.

You could also jack up the rear, pull the seat, hold it to the floor and watch the throttle to see if that's your problem.

Have you checked to make sure all the linkages are moving free? Also where is the air intake on this cart? I know for a while the intake hose was routed to the side of the cart. This was a big problem as there was dirt and dust getting into the motors and killing them. You should try a compression test on the engine. Also check your clutched to see if they are moving freely open and closed, maybe one is stuck or broke.

How lose or how tight should the drive belt be ? Does the clutch on motor suposed to slam when it moves? My belt is 42 in long outside diameter and very easy to take off and put back on

Air intake is under pass legs not coming out of side of cart and doing a compression check this week

your belt should not be that loose. I would take seat off, drive cart and look at belt to see if it is slipping.: adj. gov and by a tach!!!

Did compression test one side is around 130 and the other is a little above 140 any more suggestion I'm going to pull drive clutch next and check it out
