Default Ezgo txt governor

Is it true that by compresing the spring for the foot throttle cable that the cart will go faster? Are there any other adjustments? I'm including a photo of my set up.

Yes. I used a wrench and tightened mine down all the way. My cart would run 27 mph.

Wow that is considerably faster. I will have to see what happens to my speed when I tighten mine down. Thanks.

Some adjustment is okay but be careful not to over rev the motor. Running a lot of high rpm time will shorten the life of the stock motor.

Thanks Scotty, I should have included that disclaimer.

If you just want to test it take a piece of 1/4 fuel hose and cut it to the length you want to compress it. Slit it down the side and slip it over the rod between the cup washer and the nut. Zip tie the ends to keep it closed. A half inch is usually a good length to start with but like was said, be careful not to over rev..

Oh and this method makes it easy to take it back out quickly if needed..
