Re: Paper Gasket, No Gasket, Permatex?
Well, got the engine out, and could definitely see weeping from the front jug.
Regardless, head is off already, jug will be coming off tomorrow, and yes, we will go with the paper gasket. The Permatex is going back to the store. |

Re: Paper Gasket, No Gasket, Permatex?
I thought I had subscribed to this thread....
Anyway, my cart is back together and running like a champ. I used some RTV gasket maker (very, very, very thin coat) and the paper gaskets putting the cylinder and head back together. |

Garghhhhhh! Cart is back together, is running, but is having rpm issues. Between feathering the gas and choke, it runs at about 50% speed at best, but barely moves at other times.
Thinking this may be a air/fuel mix issue, but welcome ideas before I tear down the carb..... |

Re: Paper Gasket, No Gasket, Permatex?
Problem solved - took off the carb, and found the butterfly valve had become detached from the post attached to the throttle plate.
Was actually able to find the bolt, reattach it, and the cart is running like a champ. |
