I just cut off about 1/3 of the adjustment spring under the pedal and replaced the rest of the length of the spring with 3/4in tubing reconected everything and tested breaks, E brake still works and I can lock up the back in grass doing around 20mph and stop in about 8ft before that I couldnt stop in a half mile. I adjusted the little gear inside the hubs with a flat screwdriver to where the pads gave good friction while turning by hand. This was all done at the same time so I dont know which worked the best
