Yes, its better to switch the sense wire...well, theres no real evidence to say as much but one would think that switching a lighter load/current/voltage would be the better of the 2. You have to be careful doing these type of things. Depending on where you switch it or whatever you could produce a drain on the pack when the AC side isn't plugged in.. For example if you plug in a Total charge the relay inside switches on. It uses the pack supply. It can drain....ruin the pack. I went out yesterday to check the batts in my Black 88 that I use a total charge 36 volt charger on. Each battery was putting out about .2...yes "Point 2" thats 0.2 volts. Someone, dont know if it was me or one of the kids had plugged in the charger without the AC side plugged in. Been that way for several months. Charger hasn't been modified in any way.

Meh...they weren't in the best of shape anyways. Batts are several years old and were on there last leg. Takin em to the scrap yard tomorrow. I "think" I have another set I can throw on there.

Yeah the cutting on part will be easy for them to remember. Getting them trained to switch if off when unplugging AC may take a bit more training. We'll see......thanks for the input.
