Default Turning off the reverse buzzer?

Anyone know if I can disconnect the reverse buzzer on a 2001 EZ go? It is loud and annoying, just wanted to know what/where to disconnect if possible. I've searched with no luck.

You can tape over or plug the speaker hole with a chunk of foam to quiet it down, but it's a good idea to leave it hooked up, especially in crowded situations. On your cart the speaker is behind the keyswitch plate.

I understand for safety, but I'm not in crowed situations. I plan on making a hunting cart out of it, not a street cart. I don't want it coming on at all. Is it possible to disconnect the speaker all together?

Just as Gorno said, put tape or foam in the speaker and leave it hooked up. I used electrical tape and made a couple of wraps and you hear it but it is not ear-spitting like stock.

I've had a couple of occasions where I was glad to have it.

I just dealt with my siren / what ever it is called, today. I pulled my cup holder out and reached in from there. I wanted it as quiet as possible but I still wanted some sound.
I tried tape but it was still too loud for me. So I got impatient and broke it's ears off (so I could remove it from the cart) I then filled the hole in with caulk. I let that set up and plugged it back in. The darn thing was still too loud for me. I then wrapped it up in a shop rag and then a rubber glove over that and zip tied it all together.
It is still a little louder than I want but I can deal with it.

But to answer your question, YES it can be unplugged. It has 2 spade connectors on it.

Unplug it or cut the power-wire and add a switch, then you can disable it when you want to.It is good to have if you have others using it that aren't familiar and may have it in reverse by mistake.

One more thing to consider is that on a PDS cart such as yours, the reverse horn is used to help diagnose future system failures via a beep code. If you disconnect it, you won't be able to let the system tell you what is wrong with it. You can run the cart without the reverse horn if you want.
