It is a 1997 TXT . What drive model is it Series or DCS?

It is a Series cart and the AXE is the correct Alltrax controller but the diagram you linked us to is for a 4 post controller and you want the 3 post w/o plug braking. Let me know if you have trouble finding that diagram , then recheck all of your cable routes.

Nevermind, that doesn't look correct either. That shows a pink wire from reverse switch to #4 terminal. And I don't really understand the reverse switch diagram. Hmm....

That first diagram I linked was the EZ Go for an AXE and said its for the replacement of the 1206 which is what was in the cart before.

does it make a difference whether a1 and a2 are swapped on the motor? that's the only diff. i see in the two diagrams.
