Default Power drive 2 problem

I HAVE A 2005 CLUB CAR WITH A POWER WISE 2 CHARGER. THE CHARGER WILL POP THE CIRCUIT BREAKER SECONDS AFTER BEING HOOKED TO THE CAR. I SUSPECT THE CONTROLLER IS SHORTED BUT DO NOT HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC CHART TO TEST. CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE?

It is probably not the controller, but either the charger itself or a short somewhere. Make sure all your wires are hooked up correctly. Also, those circuit breakers do wear out if they get tripped a lot, so that could be all it is. If you have another charger that you know works, plug it into your cart and see if it trips, If it does, it's the cart, if it doesn't, it's the charger...
Also, I assume you mean Powerdrive, not Powerwise???
Powerwise is EZGO

This cart belongs to the high school and is abused. Been run until dead several times. Towed and maybe the tow/run switch not switched to tow? When i check the neg. Wire that runs to the controller it is dead? Power drive is correct, sorry i am an ezgo owner.

Busman if you determine the controller is bad I have one in the shed I might consider selling? I live about 30 miles from you.

I might be interested. Does anyone have a diagnostic chart like ezgo side has to check the controller?

I'm thinking its the rectifier or the circuit breaker in the charger.. If it was a short in the cart bad other things would be happening.. Here is a link to a fix all kit for the charger.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Club-Car-48-...95d507&vxp=mtr

It sounds to me as if you need to fix the charger first and foremost without a doubt. It also sounds like your car has discharged too low from sitting with no charge.

Just installed new batteries, pack voltage 50.2 the cart will move but when the charger is plugged in it starts for 15 sec and then the charger circuit breaker pops. Why can i not get the rev beeper to sound when resetting obc?

Just a question since the cart belongs to the high school has the kids un-hooked the annoying buzzer? if not I would think your OBC may be shot.
