flooded 2017 txt rear end noise
Hey guys I recently took in a 2017 TXT that was flooded. I outfitted with a Navitas 440 and an admiral motor. I just got it running and took it for a test run and noticed a huge winding in the rear end. The rear end is the only thing that I didn't really touch and the motor is new. Any idea where to possibly start? It's pretty obvious its on the bottom end of the transaxle but I've never dove into one those before. Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

The differential is probably full of water.

Re: flooded 2017 txt rear end noise
You probably have rust pitting on a couple or all of your bearings due to the water sitting in there.
Unfortunately, You need to disassemble it again and clean and dry any of the open face bearings and spin them, they should be smooth and quiet, if not need to replace them. Any bearings with the rubber dust seals can be opened using a sharp pick or razor blade and do the same, If this is a keeper cart, I would get the numbers off of the bearings and order on line and replace them all. Bearings all have numbers on them and are usually cheaper if ordered that way verses the same bearing in a Yamaha, Ezgo or Club Car box. Then enjoy it for a long time. |

I just ended up replacing the whole thing and that took care of it. I figured the time it would take to disassemble and reassemble it would be cheaper for me to to just replace it. Thanks guys!
