$152 on shop ezgo. It's the bv-24.
If your shafts aren't wobbly, you are still better off taking it apart for a good cleaning. |

Re: 1988 ezgo carb
Where does this fuel go? Does it run? Have you replaced the gas cap lately? My first thought is not having a vented cap that might be allowing tank to pressurize

Re: 1988 ezgo carb
after trying to run the gas ends up on the garage floor until the line is removed from tank is the pump possibly siphoning the gas thru the line ?

Re: 1988 ezgo carb
I would thing the float valve isn't closing. Is it leaking from the carb, or somewhere else?

Re: 1988 ezgo carb
I would guess not the float valve because it happened before and after the oem carb?

Re: 1988 ezgo carb
I’d suspect you’ve got a leak in your line somewhere if it’s siphoning and ending up on the garage floor. If the pump were failed I’d think it would fill the crankcase. If the carb float wasn’t seating it would end up in the crankcase and in the intake tube.
Easy test is to pull the intake tube off the carb and see if it’s full of gas n the morning. If its hot wherever you are the tank can build up pressure if the cap is not venting correctly. This can cause it to push gas out the pickup tube and fuel line. And if it doesn’t have anywhere to go it will find somewhere. You could try loosening or removing the fuel cap overnight and see if it still hope s. If not, replace the cap or drill a small hole in it |
