Default Need help!!! Ezgo txt 2001 slow motion

Recently I picked up a 2001 Ezgo txt series cart that didn't run.
Upon getting it home and charged I got it to move but with a shutter at take off and slow motion
What I have done so far :
Replaced the battery pack
Replaced the wires with 4 gauge wires
Installed new alltrax 500 amp sr controller
Installed new heavy duty solenoid

Currently the cart still shutters at take off and is very slow .
I have checked the ITS with a DVM and it shows 6volts when the solenoid clicks down to 4 volts at full throttle. I'm not sure if this is proper voltage for the SR Alltrax. Alltrax program shows the throttle response when I press the pedal .

I'm thinking the problem must be with the stock motor or Forward reverse switch

I'm inclined to agree. But it could be a bad cable end too. Basically something stopping the high amp flow.

1. Are you checking the ITS voltage between the Black and White wires while wires are attached to controller?

2. I'm not sure for a SR, but for all the other Alltrax controllers the ITS voltage is 10V with pedal pushed just far enough for solenoid to click and 6V pedal down. Maybe Scotty knows, or a call Alltrax is suggested.

3. Does the program show the throttle going to 100% when on the floor? (Also, LED on controller should go to yellow)

Is there a way to test the forward reverse switch or bypass it to confirm that's the problem ?

1. I checked the voltage at the terminals on the ITS

3. The program does show the throttle going to 100% and the yellow light comes on

Testing - See attached drawing stolen from Carts Unlimited.

Bypass - After disconnecting battery pack from controller, label and remove the four high current cables from F/R assembly and bolt A to B and C to D.

Reconnect battery pack to controller, select either direction with the direction selector lever and the cart should go forward when pedal is pushed.

3.

I'd still confirm what the ITS voltage ought to be with Alltrax or at least an Alltrax dealer.

I believe he has confirmed this by checking the reading (10v-6v) and checking the control is registering 0-100%

But in the name of science I will email my ever patient Alltrax tech rep.

He got 6V up and 4V down rather than 10V up and 6V down, that is why I am questioning it.

The fact that the auto-calibrate of the SR compensates for for an ITS voltage that far out of range is amazing, if it is out of range, but I'm not all that familiar with the SR and don't positively know what the ITS voltage for a SR is supposed to be. I don't think is would be different than it is for their other controllers, but there is a possibility, so I questioned it.

Granted, he is getting 100% throttle indications, so he ought to be getting full speed, however I suspect the questionable ITS voltage may be a symptom of an internal controller problem that keeps the PWM output from going to 100% duty-cycle.

Of course, it could be motor or cable or battery issues.
