Rotate your hubs to test for noise??? If the noise doesn't move.....?
Axle bearing? Loose backing plate ??

Well, if you were running around with a loose hub it already has had some damage done to it. The hub is a weaker link in the system made to strip out in order to spare the rearend from damage. the splines on the hub have probably been wallered out some. no telling what else has been effected by this, taking apart and inspection should be done.

thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the help. I think its the hub. I remember reaming it out a little a while ago. I guess I'm getting a new hub. take it easy.
