Default Reverse frequently fails.

I have an electric EZGO with the F&R switch behind the operator's legs.
Frequently reverse will not work but giving the F&R switch a shot of WD40 will fix it for a day or two.
  1. Should I just replace all the parts here or can it be cleaned? Cleaned with what?
  2. Should I be replacing all of the wires between the batteries and the switch as a routine maintenance procedure?
Thank you in advance.
Jim

I would replace the contacts in the FNR switch, they are about $3 apiece.

It all depends if the board has been damaged. Rebuilt eventually fry again.

What year is your cart just because the the lever is between your legs doesn't mean it is a series cart and that it has contacts. It could also be a DCS cart which was made from 94-99 I believe and it just has microswitches on the lever between your legs.

He is spraying the F&R with WD40 and getting results . ......... it doesn't sound like anything but a series F&R ?????
