I would tend to agree...

When you talk about taking care of something so important and expensive to replace, I wouldn't skimp. Batteries are just too expensive to mess up. Someone should be along to help you shortly Jaytee. Best a' luck to ya.

im going to give it a try.

my batteries are 2009 and just spent a winter at 90% charge (charger was stolen between nov and now) - so i dont have much to lose.

at 10A it will do its work with less load on my electric system

be careful.....reports from others state that the charger defaults back to "GEL" setting each time

Do you have to by-pass the OBC for this charger? Does it shut-off automatic?

i spent an hour on the phone with sams club.

they cant source one anywhere, drop shipped from manufacturer.

another problem is they dont like my canadian credit card.

i saw procharge 4815 online for 250$ but that deal has fizzled away and the guy wants 380$ now.

so im open to suggestions.

anyone have a 48v CC charger sitting in their shed? 10 - 17A is fine.

Look for a used one on ebay. Maybe check with local golf course as well. Good luck on the hunt.

I have been using the Sam's charger on my Ezgo that I converted to 48 volts. I bought 2 of them. The first one was defective but the second one has been great. I have done probably 25-30 charge cycles on it so far and it does a great job. I took the defective one back and got my money back with no questions asked. As far as it defaulting back to Gel, it does but it does not start charging until you push the charge button. You just plug in your cart, it automatically senses the cart voltage, select your battery type, and push "rapid charge" and it goes to work. I would not hesitate to buy this charger again.
