Results on Plum Quick upgraded D&D motor
A little history on my cart first. I went from 13 to 26 with a D&D motor on stock tires and gears (98DS 48v). Ran it with the stock controller for a long time. Added a GE 500amp controller and loads of torque! Called up Plum Quick and had them upgrade my D&D motor for more speed. Results? Lost maybe 5% torque off line but gained more torque everywhere else. It still does donuts in the grass and spins the tires. My new top speed? 31mph if I have a long enough straight stretch. 0-10 mph is in about a second and 0-25 is very quick. It will hit 29 with ease but it takes a little longer to get those last two mph on flat ground. For a cart still on stock tires and gears I think that is rolling out!
I will get a video up eventually but in the meantime if you need a motor for your golf cart I highly recommend Plum Quick. Attached a picture of a few donuts I did |

Great update. I aint looking for quite that much speed, but I get the idea. Looks like PQ is the next step for me. Keep up the donuts and you will not have to cut grass.

Johndaman,
We got another thread regarding jerkiness of the alltrax 500 dcx controller and I am really interested in how the GE controller is working. |

It's not bad at all. I have the accel rate turned up pretty good. It can be slightly jerky when first starting out but mostly real smooth. I could easily turn it down a little and be smoother.
