Looks like fun. Yeah the ArmorFlex bodies are good. This is from the Club Car wiki article:

"When first introduced in 1982, the Club Car DS front and rear body panels were constructed of plastic and fiberglass, respectively. so is the "armorflex" what im calling fiberglass? i got my 88 DS from some redneck who beat the hell out of it and used it for mudding and the woods until he blew the motor. despite the crazy abuse, it has a plastic body and its in almost perfect shape except for 1 small crack up front. this sparky i got looks to have received some honest use and the body is pretty wrecked. exposed fiberglass in alot of cracks, peices fell off when i went to remove the body.

im sure if the fiberglass was in good shape id be a much bigger fan of it.

No the armorflex is the plastic bodies that they started using in 1993. The fiberglass were used prior to 93...

There is a production stamp on the underside of the bagwell for the plastic amour flex bodies. At least you would know what year rear body you have.

i'll check it out. im pretty sure neither of my CC's has the original body.

i saw somewhere else on here that the armorflex bodys are supposed to have a extra support on them? is that right? i know on my 88 i was thinking its a little weak where the seat sits like it should have some more support.

im trying to find a spoolgun so i can do aluminum with my lincoln pro-mig 175 mig welder. ive been looking for a excuse to buy one, the club cars are a great excuse! i'd like to add some seat support on the 88 just for the heck of it. and so a little repair to the battery trays on this 84.

the armour flex bodies require seat supports. two I believe. (1) going side-to-side from the seat back supports, just under the body lip opening. If the aluninin tabs are broken off that extend forward from the seat back supports, you will have a hard time with this body support. Will have to fab something up. (2nd) is for the front of the body lip going down to the floorboard. Looks like a double/connected "T". Don't think the fiberglass bodies had these supports.

I don't have any wiring diagrams. I just use what I find here.

I took a week off for my honeymoon/vacation. Getting back to the cart now.
Got the front end cleaned up. Waiting for more parts. Found the bolts were worn pretty bad so I didn't want to re-use them.

Starting on the rear end while waiting for parts. Going to remove the axle and springs. It's got some surface rust and looks crappy so I want to refinish it. Gotta clean up the springs and put in new bushings. Took the motor off too just for giggles. I was quite happy to have the motor fall right off as the bolts were loosened. Got some grease/oil around the input shaft. Not sure if it's worth addressing or not.
