Jakes 6 inch spindle or long travel 2005 pds?

Hi all,

I am about to build my first cart and wondering if I should go for a 6 inch spindle or the long travel kit. I know this has been discussed some but I have not been able to find any definitive answers. I am concerned primarily with a good ride, handling and stability. I drive mostly on dirt roads. Will turning radius be affected? Thanks in advance

Long travel is always gonna ride way better than a spindle lift. spindle lifts don't change anything except allow you to put bigger tires on, no suspension change at all.

If you are driving off road and want the best ride, there is no comparing the long travel to a spindle lift. Jake's and Allsports are two good longtravel kits to look into.

I drive strictly road. Cart first had 6 drop axle. The ride was ok. The Jake's long travel I have had on for 2 years and is superior in ride by far. Having good smooth street tread helps also and keeps the road noise down.
