Electric Motor Issue - Series cart
OK we took the motor and controller from a series cart, carefully wheeled (rolled on its wheels) it into a fully enclosed shed. Then we were going to reinstall the rear axle, motor and controller into a ready cart. We pulled the assembly from the shed and the wheels would not move. Now if you pushed on each side independently, each side would move. However when trying to roll the rear axle under the cart, it would not. We removed the electric motor carefully and tried to move the spindle and it would not budge.
What can this be? How could this happen? did we miss something simple? Thanks |

Re: Electric Motor Issue - Series cart
CTXBULL.....how long had it sat? could it be that the brakes are locked up? or possibly there was something lose in the differential and has become wedged in the gears.....

Re: Electric Motor Issue - Series cart
It had only sat inside the totally enclosed building about 6 weeks. The motor was removed from the differential and tried to rotate the motor shaft when the motor was removed but it wouldn't move. the wheels rotated freely
