Limo questions for more knowledgeable members
So guys, hers the question I have. A older couple down the street from me has a nice lifted limo with jakes kit, tired, and such. It is a gas with Kawasaki engine. They do not like the size and have offered to trade straight up for my ezgo. The cart will need a couple little things but not major and we have been wanting a limo for our growing family. When I went to drive it, I was shocked at how much less room the driver has in the limo..... I'm a big guy, played football and all and I am completely comfortable in my ezgo, but driving the limo....the steering wheel is almost in my stomach.....is this the norm? I looked underneath and would have to do a custom crossmember to move the seat back and the it would cut leg room in half for the second row. To say I was deflated is an understatement.... What say you guys... Any ideas?

Re: Limo questions for more knowledgeable members
The Limo's that I have driven do seem to be like that. I think what you are noticing is that the seat back is in a different relationship to the seat bottom than on your cart. Possibly moving the seatback and not the whole seat pod will get you what you need.

Re: Limo questions for more knowledgeable members
Any ideas on variation to the seat back bracket? I did notice that the front seat bottom is about 2" more shallow that the normal seat...

Re: Limo questions for more knowledgeable members
If tilt steering would not work how about just cutting the original steering shaft and housing shorter

Re: Limo questions for more knowledgeable members
You can also shim the base of the column with washers to tilt the column up. It doesn't take much at the bottom to move the top allot. Easy to do and not much time.

Re: Limo questions for more knowledgeable members
Just loosen the 2 upper bolts and remove the lowers so that the washers can be installed. One 3/8" washer on each lower bolt, they will move the top forward quite a bit. I would not use more than 2 standard washers on each bolt. Easy fix if you get enough.
