Default G9 wiring harness to ignitor 1995 6pin to 10pin?

I searched the interwebs and these forums maybe one of you can help me?

I have a G9a 1995. The wiring was shot so I bought a new wiring harness. (OEM says it's JG5-82590-02-00 but it has been superseded by JH5-82590-03-00)

The new wiring harness plug doesn't size up to the existing ignitor. The ignitor I have in my 1995 G9 is a 10 pin. See attached. The ignitor plug on the new wiring harness is a 6 (or 5, depending how you count it) pin. See attached.
My questions are:
Do I have to buy the 5/6 pin ignitor to work with the new wiring harness?
Did I get the wrong wiring harness?
Will the 5/6 pin ignitor conflict with my 1995 G9 if the OEM was the 10 pin?

THANKS A MILLION!

My G9 ignitor bolts to the fuel tank with ears, its rounded, does not look like that one. Its a '92.

Thanks sho305. Yes I believe 1990 - 1994 ignitor has the 6 pin. I have the 1995. Does anyone have a 1995 G9 to confirm the ignitor? If I buy the 6 pin ignitor will it work with my 1995 other parts?

Thanks!

G14 might have a newer version too. They are not cheap, I would investigate more and try to use what you have. Some of ours have failed also. You might be able to verify what is what on tntgolf they have a parts diagram you can look at.

Wanted to give the forum an update on my situation and ask about aftermarket ignitors.

The 2wheelpros.com support guy I emailed with today confirmed Yamaha did supersede the wiring harness and it also looks like Yamaha superseded the ignitor from the 10 pin to the 5/6 pin.

Both 2wheel and TNTGolf have the 5/6 pin ignitor OEM but there is an aftermarket ignitor on Amazon for less than half the price.

How have you all fared with aftermarket ignitors?

Thanks!
