Unable to charge batteries individually
I have not been able to operate my 36 volt 2008 ezgo for 5 months after loaning it out to a work colleague. The voltage on each battery ranges between.08 and about 2.2. I have tried to hook up a 6 volt charger to each battery and they don’t receive any charge what so ever. Any suggestions?
I’ve used two different 6 volt chargers |

Re: Unable to charge batteries individually
Have you tried charging 2 batteries at once with a 12volt charger?
I had some success starting with a slow charge. Otherwise your batteries could be done. |

Re: Unable to charge batteries individually
Have you checked water? Cleaned terminals? If the 6 volt chargers you're using work, the batteries should get at least some charge. That low a starting point and amperage may be pretty minimal at first. Do you know if they've been that low long? You say it's been 5 months, if they've been near that low for that long they probably won't ever come back to nearly full charge, but if the power from the charger is getting through there should be at least something going back into the batteries.

Quote:
Use a 10a or better a 20a charger and attach to a (+) terminal and (-) so that 2 batteries are between the charger connections, and these 2 batteries are connected (+) to (-). |

Re: Unable to charge batteries individually
Also, be sure the charger you are using isn't one of those "automatic" ones that don't work on totally dead battery. Plug charger in, not connected to a battery and check clamps for voltage.

Re: Unable to charge batteries individually
When I have a pair hooked up to 10 amp charger I’m getting a 14ish voltage reading but reading reduces to around 8 for the pair just as soon as I disconnect charger
Also ezgo smart charger flashes red 6 times now |

Re: Unable to charge batteries individually
Charger jumped around and acted strangely on first pair.
Now acting smoothly on second pair |
