G9 vs G16 starter
Are they by chance the same/interchangeable? What I have found on a quick internet search is they appear to be different.
Anyone swapped them? |

You can do it. You should swap your pulley (and any spacer behind it). If putting it on a G9, use the G9 pulley. Copy the wiring from the cart your Installing it on. Will have to slightly modify the red & green Exciter wires (one uses a plug, the other uses 2 bullet connectors). Check charging voltage when done to ensure Exciter wiring polarity is correct. If voltage goes up when engine is running, it's correct. If voltage drops when it's running, polarity is backwards.
