Default RXV Key Switch Tie In....Best Place...?

I am gathering parts for a voltage reducer and I would like it to shut off with the key. I have listened to Bob say that you have to be very careful on where you tie into a AC motor RXV.
I have a SOC meter plugged into the harness next to the key switch that comes on when the key is on. Is it ok to tie into this red wire without damaging the Curtis controller?
I have it highlighted in yellow on the attached picture. I am going to run a 48v coil that pulls in contacts that I will run current through for my devices.

Advice Please..

Don't mess with that wire or you may be in the market for a new controler. The RXV's are quite sensitive to factory harness changes. It's best on the RXV to attach the trigger wire to the switched side of the solenoid.

Correct. Do not connect to the SOC meter wires at all. Many have destroyed their controller by doing this. The SOC guage is a simulated analog display, but it is actually a digital display device that connects to a 5V bus on the controller. You mess with that 48V connection, it can upset the 48V to that SOC guage and cause 48V to dump into the 5V bus. More controllers have been fried by people messing with the SOC guage connections than any other cause. The safest place to get keyswitched power is at the solenoids output to the controllers B+ input.
