Ghost in the Machine. Club Car DS not Running
So here is my story.
2009 Club Car DS, converted into street legal in 2018 Not running from flood damage. Did the following... 1. New Controller. Curtis 1510A-5251 2. Bypass OBC. 3. New Solenoid - Heavy Duty 4. New FR switch. 5. New wire harness. 6. New Charger Everything worked! For a a few months. No problems. Then a few months later, one day, key in, clicking Solenoid, no movement, then no clicking and no movement after few minutes.... Status... Good charge on batteries. Tested Solenoid - Works outside of cart. Has power coming to it. Clicks with pedal when disconnected from Controller. Does not click when connected to controller. Motor, tested for shorts, none, and tested to see if ran, directly off battery 16 volts and ran. Tested input and output of MCOR and inputs and outputs are in range. Now at a bit of a loss to figure out what is next. Sounds like a controller or a short somewhere but controller is new. Should I jump the solenoid and see if it runs? Want to try a few more things before I let the local repair shop look. Thank you so much |

Re: Ghost in the Machine. Club Car DS not Running
Time to start looking at the harness and connection. Corrosion from water will have a dramatic impact on connections. The connections between plugs as well as the connections in the back of plugs can cause problems. I've seen wires break in the back of a connector from corrosion and only be held in place by the insulation. I do a light pull test of the wires to make sure they dont feel elastic. If they feel elastic then the wire is broken. Flooding also has a tendency for water to wick down a wire also leading to corrosion.
TLDR; I dont think you have a hardware issue. I think you have a wire/connection issue. |

Thanks. Will dig around some now. I did replace the harness, a few months ago but so hard to find a loose wire.
Thanks! |

Can seem to find any wiring issues. I would replace the controller, but would love to know the cause of the last one to die before I put one in

See if you can find someone with a handheld. It will tell you error codes.
