Default Should I buy this 2003 G22e $720

The seller claims it was running last season, when they went to take it out it this season it didn’t run. They thought it may be the batteries and bought brand new Duracell 8v golf cart batteries last week. Sent me a photo of the receipt. They are now selling their home in the community and don’t want to invest more to fix it.

Seller said it clicks when it turns on but it does not go forward or reverse.

She is looking to sell it for the cost of the new batteries $720.
Should I pick it up or will it be a never ending headache?

I’d hate to pass up a clean cart with an easy to fix issue. But If I pick it up - how should I begin to troubleshoot what the problem may be?
I’m hoping it’s either a stuck solenoid, weak connection or a stop switch. But hope and my luck is a terrible strategy.

What’s the worst I could be in for? Seller said it drove fine last season, they put it away and this season it was a no start. Chipmunk chewed some wires?

They are not a dime a dozen around here! Not the best batteries but still I would say it's a good deal if you are ok with a cart of that vintage.

I’m not so bothered by the age - most of the carts in this community are used durning the summer weekends and get sold to people within the community.

I worry I buy it and it needs a new motor or some other major repair. Seeing that used beat up carts are going for $3k+. I guess the worst case I fix it up a s flip it if I need the cash.
