What did I burn?
I just installed 6 new Trojan T-105s in a 2002 EZGO txt and found that they
are backwards. I had already installed all the cables and pressed the accelarator pedal. I did not smell anything burn, but realized what I had done. I took all the cables off and reinstalled the batteries and cables correctly. Now the cart wont move. I don't even here the solenoid click. Could it be the Reed Switch or Did I fry the Controller? I hope there is a safety link between the batteries and system. |

Re: What did I burn?
Welcome to bgw. I don't know what fried cuz I've never tried that Just trouble shoot the system.... I guess my first check is the solenoid activation circuit. it takes 1 positive and 1 negative to activate the solenoid? if you have that when you press the peddle (key on, in gear) then the solenoid is bad? other thing to do is disconnect the solenoid activation circuit at the solenoid and bring your own test pos and neg leads to see if the solenoid clicks and the cart runs

Re: What did I burn?
Another trick is to use a battery cable to jump the large solenoid terminals..... put the cart on blocks for safety first. If the cart runs when the solenoid is jumpered you know you have a good controller and motor Then remove the jumper and go to testing the solenoid activation circut... Aloha

Re: What did I burn?
A friend of mine just did the same thing. Where is the reed switch or the pedal box. Is the solenoid in the waterproof case with the controller. Started to take off the case and the bolts are so rusted the first one broke.
