Default engine woes

My wifes ez-go 295 is worn out. should I find someone to rebuild it, buy a rebuilt or upgrade to a 350. does anyone here rebuild them on the forum?????

It really depends on your background in mechanics. If you know what your doing you can rebuild fairly reasonable. If not I would jump up to the 350. It is a huge difference in power if your use to the 295. Have fun

if you find someone that has remans they usually wont take your worn 295 as a core and you have to pay the core. 350 are harder to come by.

If you have extra money, i would opt for a BB. reman engine go for around 1k including shipping. BB can run around 15-2000.

Change it to the Duromax 16HP. Much ccheaper and not a hard change over.

thanks for the input, she doesn't want a BB. found a builder on line that has a rebuilt rebored 295 to 350 specs making 11hp. how long would something like that hold-up?? or should I just go stock 295 or duramax 16hp?? give me some pros and cons-she just wants a dependable ride. for me i just bought one to modify. but have to get her going first.
