Cart won't start
I have a 2002 EZ GO TXT that I recently purchased. When I press on the throttle the engine does not turn over, if i keep pushing and releasing, it will sometimes work. Once I get it cranking it will just quit without me releasing the pedal. Then it doesn't work for a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cart won't start
Not sure, just recently picked it up. The cart will not crank at all, like some sort of switch in the pedal or elsewhere isn't working.

Re: Cart won't start
Go to the Home button, there you go to the stickies, you can download a PDF file for your cart, it has a diagnostics in it to help out, if you are not activating the starter/generator then need to start with voltage and the micro switch under the floor board to make sure it is activating.

Re: Cart won't start
It's not clear to me by the pictures on the PDF, do I have to take the floor off to get to the micro switch, or can i get to it from underneath the cart?

Re: Cart won't start
You half to remove the drivers side kick plate (the stainless one), then you can lift up the floor matt to get to the pedal box area.

Re: Cart won't start
check you starter/generator belt. if its loose the starter will spin in the belt and not turn over the engine. The belts do stretch over time.

Re: Cart won't start
I finally was able to get a free moment to trace down the issue. There were several connections that were corroded. I cut them and put on new connectors and the cart now starts and runs.
Thank you all for your help!!!!!! |
