89 ez-go not upshifting on secondary clutch
Hello I have some questions my cart seems very slow revs high I think around 4000 rpm's
but I can out run it on foot fast pace walk things I have done is checked the compression it is at 120 psi and changed carb new one changed the whole rear with another cart I have including clutch that was working fine till I broke piston on my old cart I installed a new plug if I raise cart off the ground it will up shift but takes about 3-5 seconds for this to happen I used the belt from my other 89 ez-go which performed better than this cart and it only had 85 ponds of compression I even popped the carb linkage off and ran throttle by hand no difference does the governor control up shift of clutch other than means of rpm any help info would be appreciated thanks in advance |

[COLOR="Red"][it will up shift but takes about 3-5 seconds f/COLOR]
Lets look real hard at the clutches and belt Is the belt the same size? when you rev it on stands does the driver seem to be slow closing on the belt or is the driven slow to open. You may have a sticky bushing in either clutch. |
