Default start up

fresh top end, fuel, line, filter, crank seals. Engine runs great, but it take about 5 seconds to fire back up after stopping. Seems a little long and I have to pump the gas pedal to get it to fire. Seems to me it should fire right back up

no it is original. maybe i should change it. it runs fine once it fires, it just take a few seconds to get it going. could the pump cause this on start?

Brazil,

Did you replace your crank seals when you had your motor out?

if the fuel pump is bad why does it run fine once it fires. i would think that if it was bad it would not even run at all

This points to carb cleaning and adjustments,
if it runs the fuel pump is good. The extra oil
could be slowing the fire a little.

For 35 bux I'd still replace it. The carb will take minimal adjustments.
