Wait wait wait.......how old are these bulbs? You might need an inverter or ballast too light up the neon. Now days most tubes have these built in but high quality sets of the 90's had a separate box that acts like a ballast. Hook one directly up to a battery that you know is good or take it to a car audio shop and have them look at it. If they say you need a new bulb or ballast just go the LED route :)

The neon lights have to wires. The switch has two connections. If i run all the positive wires from the lights to the the switch the the negative side of the lights to the battery and the other side of the switch to the neg side of the battery it should work. If there is no neg on the the switch then why two connections on the switch. Help out please. Appreciate the assistance

Because the switch is a switch DUHHHHHHH.
It makes a connection and it breaks a connection (ON/OFF). The switch opens and closes the circuit.
One side of a switch is the IN the other is the OUT. It doesn't matter which post you use on the switch. Use all the RED POSITIVE wires to the switch. Put the other post of the Switch to the RED POSITIVE + Post on the Battery. Run all the BLACK NEGATIVE wire to the BLACK NEGATIVE - post of the Battery. Now the system will work.
Please don't take offence but this is the most basic knowledge of DC current flow. You might want to take this project to a friend or shop to get it done right. Some of the connections you have tried could cause a fire or at the very least blow up something!

I doubt anything is going to blow up ..... Do install a low amperage fuse and connect the power LAST. This may help with the switch....

Scotty we don't even know what he is using to power this setup. Is it a stand alone battery or the pack. If he cant figure a switch is he gonna be able to run off the pack correctly?
