Default 91 ezgo spark proplems

cant get spark from coil had coil tested at napa they said good blue spark changed igniter with another cart still no spark any ideas or trouble shooting guide thanks woody

here's the wiring diagram that covers these 2-strokes:



You should also test your pulsar (the red and blue wires coming from the engine) - with a DMM set to ohms and the pulsar unplugged, hit both wires on the engine side plug and you should read between 75 and 150, now swap the DMM to the lowest AC setting and crank the cart over, you should get .5-1VAC off the pulsar leads

thank you for diagram is there any thing under the fly wheel that is part of the ignition system? to determine when to spark or is every thing done threw the coils and igniter

yes there is - your pulsar coil .... find the red and blue wires coming out of the motor, unplug them, then set your DMM to ohms and check the engine side of the plug, you should see 75-150 ohms ... Now, swap the DMM to the lowest AC setting and turn the motor over (with the starter, not by hand) - the red and blue wires from the pulsar should generate between 1/2 and 1VAC

readings are as stated 150 ohms 1 vac what do i do now buy a coil then a igniter.

personally, I'd forego spending $100+ on an igniter and do the HEI mod, it's a better system than the stock ignitor and will run you about $40 total - search "HEI Mod" here in the threads for the diagram, or I can upload it for you in the AM
