Re: Multi Charger
Right before I went to bed last night it was reading 40.9 volts @ 10.5 amps!
Just went out and looked at it. It was ful charge at 39.5 volts in the 2 amp maintance mode. Seems to be fine. Charger wasn't even warm. It has a built in fan on it also. |

Re: Multi Charger
FYI... low amperage chargers in general, may not be all your Golf Cart batteries need. Golf Cart battery manufactures recommended the charger bulk charge, that's the first charge phase, at 10% of the battery's Amp Hour capacity. So a 200 ah battery needs 20 amps and a 225 ah T105 or CR225 needs a 25amp output charger. None of the on-boards out there meet this criteria. The stand alone models do... I just wanted to throw that out there. For what it's worth ... dept. Even the Protech & Delta Q models do not generate that kind of amperage.

Re: Multi Charger
The charger is lite. I doubt it will replace a power wise are club car charger but for a multi charger it is OK to have for backup!
I'm going to use it tonight on the 48 volt cart and see how it does. |

Re: Multi Charger
Keep the info comming! This will help in my decision to go 48V as well and have this as my primary charger. I can get a 6 pak of 8v's for just a few bucks more than the 6v's from a local battery guy!

Re: Multi Charger
The charger has performed fine since I bought it. It fully charged the 48 volt cart to 52 volts, then it dropped down to 2.3 maintance charge. It will stay in maintance until you unplug it or power goes out. It will keep the pack fully charged as long as power is applied.
I stopped at Sams today and picked up another one. They had 6 left. I will be posting this one for sale if I don't hear from Lizardlegs by Sunday. I went ahead and bought the 2 year replacement insurance for $6.00. |
