Re: Yet another Marathon rebuild.
You got to love weekends. Here lately, that's the only time I have to work on the buggy.
Took the plastic cover off the front suspension. Pulled up the rubber floor mat. Lots of dirt under there. Quick sweep up with a broom takes care of the dirt. Now, I need to deal with this dent. While I'm at it, I might as well deal with the little bit of surface rust above the wheel wells. |

Re: Yet another Marathon rebuild.
New HD springs, Probably new shocks. I haven't decided if I am going to lift it or not. Depends on if I decide to go with 20" or 22" tall tires. Either way, nothing too wild.

Re: Yet another Marathon rebuild.
There's a little too much play in the steering for my liking, so I plan to do that. Right now, I'm just trying to get the body ready for the wrap. Right now is my buddies slow time, so he wants me to bring it up on Monday so he can start on it. Normally, I wouldn't do the wrap until the mechanical issues are sorted, but oh well.

Re: Yet another Marathon rebuild.
Going after a WWII aircraft theme. Similar to this:
The details are hard to see in this pic, but I've see this cart in person and it is sharp. |

Re: Yet another Marathon rebuild.
Looks sharp. You going to do the shark teeth and all, or just going after that windage metal look? Some incorporated rivets(vinyl) would be kickass too

Re: Yet another Marathon rebuild.
That cart in the pic has the rivets airbrushed on. I'll probably do the shark teeth, rivets, and the Army Air Corp logo on the side.
