95 EZ-GO Textron
Anyone on here ever heard of thermal shutdown? That's what a friend of mine told me my cart was doing when it shuts down and wont climb a hill after riding it for a while. The controller does seem quite hot to the feel. What can I do to stop this from happening?

Yes, thermal shutdown is exactly what it sounds like. Controller is getting hot and shutting down. One thing you can do to help with the problem is to upgrade to 4 gage cables....if that doesn't help or cure the problem you will simply have to get a high output controller. Be careful, if you get it hot too many times it may not restart.

Re: 95 EZ-GO Textron
I already upgraded to 4 guage cables when I installed new batteries.I guess it's time for a upgrade on the controller. The stock one is in it,it's a curtis 1204 I believe.
