Default making complete new seat

yesterday i cut the plywood and installed the t-nuts for attaching the brackets and side rails. i then did a test fit and it went together well. today i am taking the wood to work so i can put a coat of paint to help preserve the wood before i cover it with marine vinyl. i bought new foam also. 4 inch on bottom and 2 inch for the back.

i got the black marine vinyl and foam at knoxville foam and fabric outlet here in knoxville tn. they have any type of foam and a huge selection of fabric or vinyl. it was under 13 dollors for a yard and is 60 inchs wide so i will have plenty to do the job.i am just going to roll it over and staple it down. i am not looking for fancy but i do want it to look good. i did get a coat of paint on one side of the wood yesterday and i got new bolts to bolt it all together. i hope to have it covered by saturday and i still need to sand blast the steel brackets and paint them.i will take some photos and post them.

done with the seat. i just folded the corners like wrapping a package and so water would not run in. i have a upholstery sewing machine and would have looked better but it is tore up right now.
