Yup,I used a "Pancake" filter off a Harley.I used the stock inlet hose at the carb,and adapted the filter to the end of it.That way the filter was up near the seat,where its' kinda dry(not much,but kinda!!)

Thanks pachanga. I knocked the shim down to a 3/16" in the secondary, and it still seems a bit luggy. Should I try a total of 1/4" on the primary? Right now I have an 1/8". Also, I think I am going to pull the carb off, and go through it. It seems like I have to run with th choke partially out most of the time. I'm thinking it may be a carb issue? What are the proper settings? Anyone?

This is how I made an open element filter. I removed the top canister, and drilled a hole in a plate of stainless. Works great, and was free.
