2007 48V IQ Regen low on Torque
Hey Guys,
I have a stretched 6 passenger CC that is awful low on torque. I have hooked up multimeter to each of the 8 6V Trojan t105 batteries and they show 6.4v on a full charge. The bank of batteries show 52v on a full charge. I load tested by hooking multimeter to the hot side, and to the ground side. As I'm climbing a somewhat steep hill I stop in the center of the hill, and throttle it 100% and the Voltage drops to around 41volts. I feel like that is to much dropage in voltage. Anyone willing to chime in and give a little input I would appreciate it. I built this cart straight from coming off the golf course. Cart has a Curtis 1510a @250V or 275V can't remember exactly, also has the stock motor and I'm assuming it is in speed code 1 or 2. I have also been thinking about adding a Alltrax 500 Amp controller, I have already upgraded to 4 gauge wire. Thanks for the input. Jeremy |

You may have to wait until everyone gets back. It is a vacation weekend and looks dead considering some of the questions and lack of answers.

By the way, holding that throttle while stopped may screw up your motor. Burn it up. Be careful.

Re: 2007 48V IQ Regen low on Torque
For your matter, my cart HAD a speed code 3. It stumbled on some of the steeper hills at the hunting club and we have a few steep ones but it never stopped unless battery voltage was an issue such as when the kids ran it into the dirt.
And I say HAD because it is being changed over to a PQ motor and I have no idea what it is going to be ending up with. I will know that next week. |

I have been looking at a alltrax 500Amp , with a motor for additional torque. I have so Mich money tied up in it now, so I'm struggling on the extra $$ for the torque. I have also looked at the 2 speed rear axle buy its around $1500.00 as well |
