Fairly inexpensive to rebuild. Check out our site sponsors for "G16 fuel pump rebuild kit". Good luck - RAY

Is your G16 fuel pump metal or plastic? The first thing I would try is taking the "pulser" line off the fuel pump (the hose that goes from the fuel pump along side the carb and airbox and to the engine block), try "blowing" that hose line towards the engine, if you feel any restiction, the hose is clogged with water/oil from Ethonyl gas. Take out the dip stick, cover it with a rag and use compressed air to blow the crap back into the crankase, clearing the line. This useually only happens in cold/damp weather. Some have had good luck with changing to pure synthetic oil (the ethonyl can't mix with pure synthetic). Try that first, it's an easy fix. Good luck!
