EMP and Alltrax Combo
Is anyone here running an EMP motor and an Alltrax controller?
My concern is that there seems to be a bit of "tuning" of the controller to get it to perform the way it should with any given motor. Hence - D&D Alltrax combos. The ultimate question that I still need to answer is - If I tell EMP to build me a motor can I simply purchase an Alltrax controller and "plug and play?" I feel as though D&D has somewhat addressed this with the combos - but I may be wrong. Lil help? |

It should be set according to your cart, ez-go, cc when you get one just tell them your cart info they should set it for you.

Re: EMP and Alltrax Combo
So I wouldn't need to tell them anything about the motor?

Re: EMP and Alltrax Combo
just buy a programmable alltrax, and then if you have to tune anything, buy the program kit for whatever it costs, then call EMP and ask them what to do...
I'm fairly certain they will talk you through it... |

Re: EMP and Alltrax Combo
The software is free. The cable can be bought from radio shack. Programming is simple. Most of the time people set it for wide open. You can adjust throttle up and down rates as well as braking power. Download the software from alltrax and take a look at it. You really don't even have to program the controller because it will be wide open when you get it. All you have to make sure is to get the right model for your cart.

the software is free, but you can buy a cool kit that helps you program it a litle easier, its on my wish list right now :-)
