WELCOME to be BGW!
You are describing a low-voltage situation. The solenoid is not getting enough voltage to stay energized. Attach a voltmeter to the battery pack and drive the cart, observed the voltage drop and post it here. |

Re: Silinoid clicking when running
48v is empty. 50.1 is full. You can repeat the test connected to the individual batteries and see if you can find the one that's dropping a cell (2+ volts) . That's my guess.

Re: Silinoid clicking when running
Ok I checked my batteries and 5 of the 6 are at 8.13 or higher and one is at 7.81 and just for some history these are 3 week old batteries with minnamal use the cart had a high speed motor 400 amp speed controller h/d f&r and solenoid. So if that batterie is bad is it ok to just swap out that one or should the hole set be replaced

Re: Silinoid clicking when running
Before replacing the battery check the pack voltage at the charger receptacle. Make sure that all the batteries are connected positive to negative all the way through the battery string. It is a possibility that one of your batteries has been installed backwards or that your charge leads are not connected at the proper location leaving one battery out of the charge loop.
if you do have one bad battery it's okay to replace just one in a new pack. |
