Western/ezgo id year?
hi, i'am trying to id year of cart made by western. No placards, only a
number stamped on passenger side on frame 20052004 or 200S2c04 thanks, mark |

I have one of those western jobs too. Not sure how they did the numbering..My western looks like it has EZGO running gear with a custom body. Larry |

also has a overdrive switch on dash. motor is mounted right angle to axle, I assume
ring and pinion gears. |

Never heard of a overdrive switch. All of the Western carts I have seen use the EZGO running gear. I have old Western Ezgo with same motor config. I have converted to controller. Spent way more than cart is worth, but have had fun doing it.

Western installed an overdrive for a short while. I don't remember what year or for how long. I do remember reading that Western stopped it pretty quickly because they were replacing too many motors. In short, the overdrive is a shunt. A bad thing for motors. Sorry, not much help.
