G8 electrical nightmare
Does anyone have any good diagrams for this G8 electric Cart. There is a pick in the stickies but when you zoom it in it is nothing but a blur. Thanks

Re: G8 electrical nightmare
How about a trouble shooting guide. Does Yamaha put out one of those as well? I just have wires everywhere and this thing won't run. New batteries

Re: G8 electrical nightmare
I need help with this. The small red wire that comes from the charging port goes to this. The diagram shows that the other wire that goes to this is the red and yellow wire from key switch. This thing was hooked up to a battery and to the solenoid small post. What am I supposed to do with this mess?

Re: G8 electrical nightmare
I would remove the jerry rigged wires and try to get it in the original configuration. If it's wired for lights, make sure there are no grounds to the frame. If wiring has been F'ed with, it's probably because something, somewhere wasn't working properly.

Re: G8 electrical nightmare
Ok I have it all hooked up. I turn on the key and press the pedal. I get nothing, I check the solenoid and it has good power on battery side but 2 volts on outgoing side. Also when I hit the pedal the voltage on the out going side goes pretty much to zero

Re: G8 electrical nightmare
I have traced the wires from the key switch to the pedal switch and back to the solenoid. When I press the pedal I am getting woltage all the way back to the small post on the solenoid. I am getting no click and the solenoid is only showing 2 volts on the outgoing side.
