81 ezgo gas manual
Looking to find some manuals to help me work on my 81 ez go gas cart. Just bought it as a project and it does not currently run. Currently trying to figure out what goes in a threaded hole where the carb hooks up.

I couldn't tell from your pictures.
If it's at the top of the intake manifold, it's a 6mm screw to plug the oil injection. If it is below, and slightly behind the carburetor, there would be 3 holes for the fuel pump. |

Thanks. It is the oil injection plug. Someone had taken this thing all apart and I got a box eith the pieces. With that knowledge now I will go to the hardware store to find a replacement.
Have to replace the switch on the petal cause as soon as you turn on the key it starts turning over. Then going to test for spark and replace the fuel pump cause it is not pumping fuel. Again thanks for the quick reply and pictures. |

You should open up the pump to see if it's full of crap, or if the diaphragms are ripped.
If there is nothing wrong with the pump, and it doesn't move fuel, that means the crankshaft seals are shot. I was able to open up my switch, clean the contacts, and rivet it back together. Give it a try. |

I'm thinking that 81 was a transition year. I see you have an external starter, but I don't know if you have points, or magnetic pickup (pulsar coil).
This manual will get you started, but there might be slight differences. Your wiring, and plumbing should be the same. |

81 would have a pulser with a external starter/gen !! Look for the plug going to the igniter from the engine. It will have (2) wires one red other blue.

Well I had a little time this evening. So I pulled the fuel pump and cleaned it up. Then pulled the gas tank and cleaned it. Put new gas lines on and she is pumping fuel now. Still doesn't run. Not getting spark I guess. Any suggestions where to start?
