Default What is this part??? Not in any wiring diagrams

96 Club Car DS Series model, with Continously Variable Pot (that I am converting to MCOR4 using pn 290123).

This is in the back, near motor

It connects to the Controller as show (thin arrow in 2nd pic) and then somewhere into the dash by way of this terminal block (larger arrow in third pic ...this is in the battery box right behind driver).

Is this some sort of sealed resistor?

Cart number A9633

THANKS . . I can't find this on any wiring diagrams

Looks like a 16v to 12v reducer.

I think that is the factory reducer.

OK - for the lights, etc. Makes sense.

I found out the hard way that it won't reduce more than 16v to 12V. - - fried my headlight bulbs trying to move them to two different batteries without paying attention to the series wiring - - probably fried the rear bulbs as well? (I didn't check those)

THanks!!!

So, I guess I can use that terminal block (which only has one "out" wire connected to it) to add other 12V accessories? Would that be the positive or negative lead for those accessories???

thanks
