Third brake light question??
I'm installing the brake light switch on my 2010 Precedent. All went well until I pulled out the harness. The diagram said I should have a Blk/wht wire, a brown wire and a red wire. Well as you can see I had a black, orange and red. Luckily the connections were correct so all worked out well. I want to hook up a third brake light. I need to know where to hook it so it doesn't flash with the turn signals. I'm stumped. Can anyone help me?

Re: Third brake light question??
The pin #1 on the timer is the +12v output to the Turn signal assembly.
You need to splice your 3rd brake light to that wire. Does your 3rd brake light also have a "marker" light? |

Re: Third brake light question??
You're the man Sergio. The mistake I was making was the ground. When you said 12 volt output, I realized it was just a switch and I had to go back to the battery ground. When I did it worked fine.

Re: Third brake light question??
I currently don't use any brake switches on my Precedent, the brake lights are activated by the Regen brake.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ake-light.htmlI wired the "marker" lights of my 3rd brake light as a DRL and they blink when the brake is activated. |

Re: Third brake light question??
I just noticed the picture you posted on the other thread shows you are using a 16v->12v reducer (or at least the pack has a 16v tap).
If that is the case You should get the negative from the timer terminal #3 since it should be connected to the reducer negative output. |

Re: Third brake light question??
I'm using a 12 volt auxiliary battery. It is hooked up now across 2 of the 8 volt cart batteries. Hopefully I'll get the battery installed tomorrow. I'm mounting the charging receptacle into the battery box and mounting it in the bag well.
