Trojan T105
Are these batteries really the Holy Grail of batteries ?
If not, which are comparable ? Which are better ? Thanks |

Re: Trojan T105
They are very good batteries. I have gotten 7 years out of some T-105 packs with proper maintenance.
Interstate, crown, and US Batteries are good too in my opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Trojan T105
Trojan Battery was the first battery manufacturer to develop a deep cycle lead-acid battery specifically for electric golf carts and was the brand most cart manufacturers installed in their carts until recently. Due to this dominance, they are the de facto standard and the yardstick other brands are measured by.
In my opinion, Crown, Deka (East Penn), Exide, Trojan and US Battery are in a five-way tie for first place and there are more differences in models within the same brand than there is differences in the same grade batteries from those five manufacturers. (IE: An economy grade Trojan is inferior to a mid grade from any of the five brands.) Many cart owners have gotten good results with Interstate and Johnson Control batteries or store brands, which are typically re-branded products. The best bang for the buck is usually the highest amp-hour batteries you can find locally for the lowest price, charged after each use by a charger the has a charging profile that meets the charging specifications for the battery in use. |

Re: Trojan T105
As I understand it, Powertron batteries are black box Trojan batteries.
The P2000 is a 210AH battery, so it is roughly equal to a T-605, which is the Trojan economy grade golf cart battery, but has a 12 month warranty rather than the 18 month warranty the maroon box Trojan batteries have. The P2000 won't have the range or lifespan of the standard grade (T-105 - 225AH) Trojan battery, but depending on the installed price, it may be more cost effective if reduced performance and longevity are acceptable to you. |
