All depends, the yamaha built axle 1995 doesnt. I still stick with my suggestion of a spring on the governor arm if gov bypassed.

CGTECH... so after researching read ends pretty sure I’m going to just replace the 1 really bad Gear and clean up the others as they should still function “probably whine a bit”, flush entire case and bearings the best I can and reassemble. It will be a $98 dollar gamble plus new gasket and output shaft seal. My question is can I just leave the empty Torrington bearing housing on the input shaft or should I remove it from between the washers? Will this create an operational or spacing issue? I know this isn’t the “proper” way to fix but would be the cheapest and should still make it operational for a while.

Cant really give you much advice on that, because I would advise against what you are doing.

Okay so I FINALLY found someone who has a good used G16 rear end and is willing to sell me ALL the internal guts. I’m assuming it will be a different gear ratio than my G11 but I’m okay with that. Does anyone have the PDF pages from the service repair manual that would help with the reinstall?

Why not just bolt it into yours. And the ratio is probably quite Similar.

Does the G11 have a different ratio rear end than the G16?

Quite a few differences. The whole housing/ forward gear/ input shaft/ differential/ axles (they are much beefier) and hubs.

I’m only buying the internals and not the entire rear end. I was told they are the exact same rear end minus the gear ratios. Everything I’ve seen in pictures and online shows the same. Where do you see the case and other items being different?

What he said is quite possible, the UMAX had totally different axles that wouldnt even try to fit in the regular axle.
