Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Running some numbers on hp and torque confidents it would take a v8 with a shot of NOS to pull some of the hills getting to the lake.

If I had this I could just drive from the boat ramp.

I like the EZGO with the trailer. The super lifted and stretched cart is insane, would love to have that.

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
How's the cart holding up?
One day in the future, I'd like to build a 4x4 cart using a good dependable ATV as the platform. Did you figure out your wheel spacing? If it were me, I'd just find a bit wider tires for the back and not worry about it. I doubt anyone can even tell just by looking that there's a difference. |

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Cart is performing great. It's smooth with the 300ex front under it. Even with the 100 degree days we have had the motor is staying cool as to be expected.
I'm using the front disc brakes with a 80's Toyota truck clutch master cylinder. That turned out great for $20. I'm already thinking of placing a wheel cylinder on the back with a hydraulic wheel cylinder. I will be the first to omit that I screwed up on measuring the front end when I widened it. I wanted the center of the tire to be even with the outside of the cart. I added 3" spacers to rear and still need about 2 1/2" more to match front. So this is what I found: [MANUFACTURER: M/M TYPE: 6214-6215 ATV Wheels FINISH: Gloss Black DESCRIPTION: One piece Welded Steel ATV, UTV, Mini-truck Wheels WHEEL SIZE: 12x7 Front 12x8.5 Rear BOLT CIRCLE: 4on110 Front 4on110 Rear WEIGHT CAPACITY: 700 lbs Front 1,000 lbs Rear BACKSPACE: 4 inch Front 0.75 inch Rear OFFSET: 4+3 ; +2.5 Front .25+8.5 ; -101.6 Rear CENTER HOLE: 72.0 mm Front 72.0 mm Rear NOTE: Rear Wheel is a HIGH NEGATIVE offset; makes the back of the ATV wider than factory. Thanks for the thoughts on the EMT. Between you me and internet here, don't tell his mom. He has already put it on it's lid. Small roll over that I blame myself for. I think the rims will help, plus I'm looking to replace the bearings with a tapered roller bearing that will hold up a little more. |

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Things looking slow in the ATV sections of the forums. So, I thought I'd throw some more money at my buggy. I few more pieces of the puzzle came in. These max offset rims kinda scare me so it's going to be a little touch and go. As far as I can tell they the same rims that are on the green beast here. It looks like they welded gussets in the rims,... Opinions anyone?

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
Definitely looks like gussets. Probably will work out ok, may have some premature wheel/axle bearings. Which in my opinion would be worth it, but then again...I run 14" wide wheels with a -76 offset on my truck

Re: 94 Ezgo, 350es Honda ATV Conversion
I hear ya PBJ. I may gusset my rims don't know yet. I have to redrill front rims because of the 4 on 139 bolt pattern. After all that I will probably dismantle the front end and cut it down 2 inches narrower.
