98 club car ds dies out
i have a 98ds with a fe-290 and dies out and runs when it wants too. backfires occasionally also. anyway, heres the story. the cart run fine until the coil went out. i took it to the shop and they put another on it. (for a hefty price i may add.) they also told me that there was a loose wire they fixed that caused the coil to go bad. it'll run ok one minute, and spit sputter and backfires the next. carb is clean, fuel pump was replaced, fuel lines and filter are good, and gas tank drained and cleaned out of debris. still does the same thing. if the rev limiter ground wire was off and they put it back on and it was a bad rl wouldnt it screw up the running? also another thought i had is that on the coil there isnt a end that connects to the spark plug. it is added to the coil wire. does this connect under the shroud? or is it something i can get to without removing it? i figured there may be a short or loose connection in the plug wire somewhere. any help would be gr8ly appreciated.
